The Rochester Public Library is governed
by 5 library trustees elected at Town Meeting for 5
year terms. Trustees set the policies that guide
the Library Director and staff in the day to day operations
of the library.
Library policies assure
that:

materials and services are available to all
library patrons in the fairest and timeliest
manner •
The library is administered in a fiscally
sound manner •
Patrons’ privacy is protected
•
Citizen’s First Amendment freedom
